A little about me
I am a landscape and nature photographer located in Edmonton, Alberta where I live with my partner and our two dogs.
Some of my earliest memories are of spending time outdoors on family members farms, whiling summer afternoons away looking for frogs, bugs and birds. My love of nature and the outdoors has grown throughout my life – and guided me towards the path I chose in my post-secondary education and career in Environmental Science.
I first became drawn to photography while completing my masters studies in southern Alberta. I wanted to capture images associated with my project, and my step father handed me a DSLR camera and showed me the basics. I was hooked from that point on. Photography became a way for me to slow down and connect with my surroundings, both urban and natural.
Living in Western Canada, I am fortunate to have access to a variety of amazing landscapes including the Rocky Mountains, Aspen Parkland, Badlands and Prairies. I hope to capture the beauty of these landscapes and all the wonderful wildlife that calls these areas home. Recently I’ve turned my attention to include urban landscapes and wildlife, which can often be overlooked in our day to day lives.
I look forward to the opportunities that photography continues to present and the places it will take me. I hope you enjoy the images I capture along the way.
